Loading data from DSO to InfoCube

Both DSO and Infocube are designed to store Transaction data.. then what is the difference between these.. why are we using 2 different objects for storing data..

* DSO is having data overwriting capabilities...

ex:       request    material   vendor   customer   price
            REQ1       M01      V01      C02          25    
            REQ2       M01      V01      C02          30


Here we have 2 requests   REQ1  & REQ2...

now.... in DSO data will be saved in this way

                            M01      V01      C02          30

Second request will be saved


In InfoCube data will be saved in this way

                           M01      V01      C02          55


the value will be added to the previous request...



*  DSO can store more granular data

 *  InfoCube stores aggregated data



DSO stores granular data and infocube stores aggregated data..

now lets see how we can load data from DSO to infocube..

This is our DSO...

Now lets create a infocube and load data of DSO to InfoCube..


























Define all the dimensions..

and then define the keyfigures














 Infocube is now ready... Activate it...







Now lets create a transformation from DSO to InfoCube

















Activate Transformation

Transformation is ready... Now lets create DTP to pull data from DSO to InfoCube..











Now we have moved data from DSO to InfoCube

    Hi,

    I have few doubts.



    I have LIS Datasource, DSO with Additive Kfs and then a Reporting Cube.



    LIS DataSource sends images which DSO processes and sends changelog data to Cube.

    I have a request from User to reload data for 1 month. Using setup table.


    Steps are: Delete data in both DSO+ CUbe. and run repair full IPs.

    Now Question is:
    Why I should Delete the data from DSO, LIS always sends correct images also in case of repair full load.
    Actully I think DataSource will send all the changes of the document.(we can see in RSA3)

    In case of daily dataload we have images and in case of Repair full there are all images.

    then why I need to delete the data in DSO?

    DSO should adjust the data in both Active table and intern Reporting Cube.




    Please help me here.

    I had to choose "No conversion" for currency and unit which this removed them in the transformation.

    I have followed all steps but still the data doesnt get from dso to cube in many examples that i have created.can anyone check.
