Loading Transaction data from flat file

1. Create flat file





save as csv file

2. Create DataSource
















ACTIVATE data source..


3. Create InfoPackage















4. Create target

For transaction data ... target is Infocube or DSO..

In our case target is Infocube








































now our design of cube is complete... activate the cube...





5. Create transformation










6. Create DTP















Our data is now available in target ( InfoCube)

lets see data in cube







click on execute button

    While creating the dimension Mat Vend, and adding characteristic ZVEND, I encounter " invalid infoobjects for entry dialog box were not transferred while creating dimensions" warning. And hence I am unable to create it. Is it because I did not create the Info Object during " Loading Master Data from a flat file " from your blog.

      you have to create Infoobject ZVEND.. before using it in dimension...
      or use "0VENDOR"

    Iam getting only currency and unit in the output .

    Hi Mohamed,

    I created ZPRICE with Fixed Currency INR.
    And ZQTY with Fixed Unit EA.

    When I create transformation and drag from PRICE to ZPRICE it also creates link from Currency.
    The same is true for QUANTITY.

    Then it fails to activate...
    Oly solution so far is to specify "No conversion" in the two rules and accept to delete CURRENCY and UNIT.

    So my cube then loads but without curreny and unit information.

    Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I only set this up to have some "real" test data in my demo.
