Operating concern
Represents an organizational unit in your company for which the sales market has a uniform structure
operating concern contains 4 segment tables.
Segment table for
Actulal transaction
Planned transaction
Charateristcs fields
Value fields
Data is transferred to Operating concern from all Transactions.. SD,MM,FI,PP
but not all data is transferred to operating concern... Only data that is relevant for profitability analysis is transferred to Operating concern.. ie. data is transferred to segment tables.
No transaction is getting directly posted to Operating concern... Only a copy of respected module is taken to operating concern..
This is the reason why SAP has not provided us Standard extractors for COPA...
New fields can get added from other modules ... So SAP has provided us only the procedure to create Datasource..
Addition of new fields are called Regeneration...
COPA has two types..
* Cost based
* Account based
Cost based is done mainly in manufacturing and production Industry..
Account based is done in Service Industries...
COPA datasources have 3 mandatory fields..
1 Value type
Actual - 10
Planned - 20
2 Version
version of plan
3 Currency, Currency Type
There are 3 types of currency type.
operating concern currency
Transaction currency
Company currency
If datasource is regenerated , The best practice is to delete datasource and recreate it with same name...
Tcode KEB0
Choose the operating Concern... In our case We use IDEA... which is used for IDES system
In Tcode space give "=INIT" and press enter
Choose all the fields needed and click on Infocatalog
Copy datasource name and check for data availability in Extraction checker
BW side
Replicate Datasource in BW system
Activate the Datasource
Now our data is available in BW.. and delta queue is also created....
Take this data to cube creating a DTP and transformation...
