Selective deletion from DSO refers to deleting specific values from a DSO leaving the other values unaffected. These values are deleted based on specific variables like Calendar Date, Account No. etc.
Example
All values associated with Product Code P00001 on the Calendar date value 25.03.2003 are to be deleted from the DSO.
The DSO we will be using has the technical name DSO_SHY and the description as my DSO.
for selective deletion, go to the DSO and select Manage after right-clicking the DSO.
Go to the contents Tab.
Before deleting, let us check out the number of records in the DSO pertaining to the Date and Product code values. For that, Click on Active Data
Press Number of Entries button
back to the contents tab
press the Selective button
Press Deletion Selections to select values
press Execute Button
Press the Selection button
Press the radio button for “Immediate Start”
Now to start the deletion process press the Start button.
Now to verify that the data has been deleted, go back to the Contents tab in the DSO manage option
Press the Active data button
click on Number of Entries Button
