Inside the subaccount, there is a menu item called Entitlements.
This section answers one simple question:
What is this subaccount allowed to use?
As an admin, this is one of the first places you check when something doesn’t work.
On the entitlements screen, SAP lists:
-
the services available to this subaccount
-
the plan allowed for each service
-
the quota assigned
Each row here is important.
If a service is not listed here, it means:
-
the subaccount is not allowed to use it
-
the service will not appear in the marketplace
-
no one can create instances of it
Many services come with different plans.
For example:
-
trial
-
free
-
standard
As admins, we don’t choose plans randomly.
Plans decide:
-
limits
-
features
-
sometimes cost
Quota tells us how much of a service we can use.
For example:
-
quota 1 means one instance allowed
-
quota 0 means no usage allowed
Even if a service is entitled, if the quota is zero, it cannot be used.
