SAP BTP - Service Instances

 Till now, we talked about entitlements and permissions.

Now let’s look at where services actually show up once they are in use.
For that, SAP gives us a section called Instances and Subscriptions.

shows all the services that are:

• already created

• already running

• or already subscribed

• Instances → actual services like databases, destinations, logging, etc.

• Subscriptions → access to applications like SAP Build, BAS, Work Zone

Both consume resources, but they serve different purposes.

As an admin, 

• verify what is running

• understand resource usage

• troubleshoot issues

Creating an Instance

Click on create for creating a new instance

At this point, everything is in place — the subscription is active, the environment is ready, and the instance creation is now in progress.
