What is SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud)?

SAP Analytics Cloud is a single cloud platform for business intelligence, augmented analytics, predictive analytics and enterprise planning. 

In simple, we can say that, if you have a company and you want to know the  current situation of your company like its profit, loss, what is the cause of loss?, how to increase the profit?, which product you have to put your focus on? etc.. types of problems cannot solved by checking into your excel sheet or other software where you saved the company's whole details. 

For that you can use a dashboard where the charts explain the problems and scenarios of the company, so that anybody can undesrtand it easily. Dashboard looks like the below image. 

See, not only a dashboard, if you want you can plan your company's operations, sales, or anything for upcoming years. You can create budget, you can forecast as you want. There are so many tools available for that. And also AI and Machine learning are inbuilt in SAC, using that we can predict future, we can ask SAC to explain about any chart, how all other columns connected to this chart, these are some operations we can use here.  

So using SAP Analytics Cloud is actually very helpful. So lets discuss about this in detail.

Benefits of SAC

1. Ease of viewing content

    We can increase work efficiency by personalising our home screen to display recent stories, files and models. So in home screen we can see 4 tabs: Today, Catalog, Favorites, Shared with me. Lets look deep into it. 

The image given above is the home screen, and we can see the today tab. 

Today  - Here we can adjust all the elements. If we want we can add quick access to any model, story, data action anything that we are currenlty working. 

There is a just ask option --> where we can ask any question in natural language about any dataset. We will discuss about this in later blogs. 

Catalog  - This is a single access point for content published for users within SAC. Here we can only only see the content that is specifically published to it. (We cannot use this in free trial version)

Favorites  - This is designed for individual convenience, designed to give us immediate, personalised access to specific content that is imp to us. 

Shared with you  - Shows all the resources that are shared to us by other users. 

2. Visualization tools

Story, modeler, analytic application, digital boardroom, data analyzer etc...
